4.0 Construction Requirements
4.1
The back cushion shall be securely hinged to meet the requirements of the longitudinal impact test as specified in figure 3. the back cushion and the seat pad must be fastened to the metal frame work by through fasteners only.
4.2
The mounting base may be anchored to the floor with through bolts and backing plate or may slide longitudinally in increments in a tripod track securely mounted on the cab sidewall.
4.3
Suitable locking pins or other locking devices shall be provided to prevent rotation or accidental horizontal translation.
4.4
Structural materials should be of good quality and all construction will be performed in a workmanlike manner. All weldments shall be well blended and uniform. There will be no sharp edges, which can cause bodily harm to the user.
